Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Reelmi ("Reelmi", "we", "us", "our") handles any information we collect from you when you use reelmi.app and the services we offer.
We only ask for personal information when we genuinely need it to provide the service to you. We collect it lawfully and transparently, with your knowledge and consent, and we tell you why we're collecting it and how we'll use it. The information we collect includes your email address (used for sign-in and account communication), language preference, basic usage analytics (only after you accept the cookie banner), and a small metadata log of each video you generate (date and chosen avatar — never the video file itself). Payment information goes directly to our merchant of record — we never see or store your card details.
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. What we do store is protected by commercially reasonable safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, secure cloud infrastructure, and signed webhooks for payment events — to prevent loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, modification, or misuse. Generated videos are streamed to your browser at render time and are not stored on our servers; the only record we keep is a small metadata log so your account history works.
We don't sell, rent, or publicly share your personal information. We do share it with trusted third-party providers who help us run Reelmi — for example, our merchant of record for payment processing, our authentication and database host, our transactional-email provider, the AI models that generate avatar visuals, voices, and lip-sync, and our application-hosting provider. Each is bound by its own privacy obligations and only receives the data needed to deliver its function. We will also disclose information when required to by law.
Reelmi may link to external websites we don't operate (for example, social platforms or third-party tutorials). We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites and aren't responsible for them. When you leave reelmi.app for an external site, that site's policy governs your interaction there.
You're free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide some or all of the service without it. Where applicable law gives you rights over your personal data — including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and the right to object — you can exercise them by emailing privacy@reelmi.app. We respond to verified data-subject requests within 14 days as required by GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Continued use of reelmi.app will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version always lives on this page with the effective date below.
